2004) at the age of 86. She formerly resided in Stuart, FL and Essex, and was the wife of the late Peter Harwood Comstock. She is survived by four daughters, Marcia Ann Littel of Woodstock, VT and Stuart, FL, Barbara Comstock Ronshagen of Madison, Constance C. Abrams of Lakeville, and Patricia Comstock Wilson of Woodstock, VT. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and her sisters, Janet Prann of Essex, and Anne Comstock of Tunbridge, VT and Essex.

Her brother, Robert M. Toppin of West Hartford predeceased her. An avid golfer and sailor, she was a member of the Hobe Sound Golf Club. A service will be held in Essex at the end of October. He was the widower of Shirley Mae (Mclntyre) Detlefsen. Mr. Detlefsen was born January 12, 1919, in Naugatuck, a son of the late As-mus and Anna (Clarke) Detlefsen. He was a retiree of 42 years from Uniroyal Chemical. He is survived by two sons, William R.

He and his wife lived in Newington prior to moving to Hilton Head in 1998. Dan, a lifelong native of Hartford, was a graduate of Dartmouth College with his Masters in Business Administration from the Amos Tuch School of Business. He leaves his wife of 57 years, Roberta, and his children, A. Joel Feldman of Indianapolis, Deborah Feldman O'Malley of Florence, Italy and Jonathan Feldman of Long Beach, CA. He is also survived by his sister, Ella Norwood of Hartford.

Raymond Betts and Gladys (Sanger) Betts, he graduated from Westminster School in Sims-bury and attended the University of Vermont. During World War II he served in the U.S. Army and was on the first Troop Ship to leave the U.S. for the South Pacific Theater, and served there until 1945. Ray was employed as Comptroller of Sage Allen and Co.

and retired in 1979 from the Accounting Department at the M.D.C. He served on the original committee that developed the zoning plan for Granby, served on the Zoning Boards for over 30 years, and was Secretary of the Zoning Board of Appeals for 15 years. He was past President of the Granby Land Trust and instrumental in the purchase and preservation of the Granby Oak. Ray was past Treasurer of the Salmon Brook Historical Society, SLOCO, and the Granby Tennis Club. He was past Chairman of the Boy Scouts Troop 125, a driver for the Senior Van and The Granby Drummer.

A member of the Limestone Trout Club, fishing and the outdoors were his second love to his first love, his wife Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Peter Raymond Betts and his wife. Helen retired at the age of 76 from Brand-Rex Co. in Willimantic Sha was an avid gardener, horse racing fan and enjoyed traveling.

A devoted mother and grandmother, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Richard and Irene Smith of er daughter and son-in-law Shirley and Ralph Marot of Willimantic; four grandchildren, Michael Smith, Richard Smith Kevin Marot and Kymberli Cochran and 10 great grandchildren. She Was predeceased by two brothers, Walter and George Lesniaski and a grandson James Smith. and Elinor (Devanney) Sullivan and had lived in Rocky Hill since 1991. Maura had previously worked at The Hartford Regional Center, Newington for several years. She more recently volunteered two days a week at Dwight School in the Kindergarten Class with Mrs. Costa, and the other three days were spent at Goodwill Industries, East Hartford. She spent her summers at Crescent Beach, Niantic and was a fabulous swimmer.

She was a graduate of the Wethersfield School System. She is survived by a brother, Robert F. Sullivan and his wife, Elaine of Franklin, MA and their three children and their nine grandchildren; two sisters, Susan M. Sullivan, of Rocky Hill with whom she made her home and Sheila S. Blair and her husband, Wayne of Niantic and their son, Robert, and many special friends.

He was a member of The Connecticut Army National Guard serving in Headquarters Company 3rd Battalion 169th Infantry Company in New Britain. He retired in 1977 after 41 years at the Fafnir Bearing Company was a member of the Fafnirs Seniors, the AARP and New Britain Senior Citizens Center. He attended the Old Gas House Gang reunions. and Wanda (Seidel) Wilk. He graduated with a BS and an MS from Springfield College and was a physical education teacher and coach in Enfield for over 30 years retiring in 1999. He was the Director of the Springfield Golden Age Harmonicats and a member of the Relics Softball Team. He participated in the AAABA baseball tournament in Johnstown, PA in 1949 and attended the 1992 Boston Red Sox Fantasy Camp and was selected as the camp MPV and inducted into the camp's Hall of Fame. He was an avid baseball player and fan.

Arthur was also an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a loving and devoted husband to Adeline Jones Wilk whom he married on August 24, 1957. An amazing father to Alyson Wilk of E.
