Ok 405 crawlers / scalers. My name is Eric and I'm a new FAA employee which means I (along with all other new FAA employees) will be in and out of OKC for 2 to 3 years for training for periods of 2 weeks to 2 months. Can you 405 post up places to play for all the FAA RCC'ers.

Lake Overholser -
I have only been to the south side of the lake by the dam. there are trails for scaling but nothing for comp type crawlers. There is more area to explore around the lake. I will post my findings as I explore more.

South on I 35 to Moore there's a big dealership by hwy 9 exit there's a bank straight west of it. In the west end of the lot there's a drainage ditch that's got some crawling spots in it for comp trucks not much scale stuff though.

Over crowded, my ass. It took me 4 months to even find a single other soul that was into RC crawling. Thanks to Oklamopar, I've met maybe a dozen other real nice guys to go crawling with and have never seen anyone else at any of the spots we've been to. You want to have an area all to yourself? Go RC crawling in OKC.

Lol, they go out a lot. Or if you just past up and ask if anyone wants to go you will get some volunteers. SCREAMER doesn't do the Facebook thing but he is local and goes a lot. You could probably just pm him. He's a good guy (even if he was chair force)

Draper is kind of small but I think it was the best place to go locally. Turner Falls is better. I bet there was lots of college aged scenery during the summer too. I went to Fink Park by myself once and didnt care for it, but maybe I just couldnt find where they crawled. There was another place we went to about an hour or an hour and a half west that was pretty cool. It was right by Medicine Park. The whole place is huge and there was prairie dogs and buffalo running around. Its a big place and we couldnt find the place they wanted to crawl but we did find a decent place right off the road.

I'll be back for a little while in April.
